Herd Passport was created around a simple problem: too much useful livestock information is lost when an animal changes hands. Producers may spend years building records around an animal—identification, registration, pedigree, health documents, breeding information, photographs, production history, and other important records—but much of that information is fragmented across paper files, spreadsheets, software platforms, registries, and individual owners.
